A museum-necropolis: Turgenev, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Blok, Mendeleev, Pavlov, and nearby the Resurrection Church of 1785.

The tradition goes back to 1802, when Radishchev was buried here; his grave has not survived, and there is a cenotaph.
Next to Belinsky (1848) the critics Dobrolyubov (1861) and Pisarev (1868) were laid to rest — and so the section became "literary".
Leskov, Kuprin, Miklukho-Maklai, Bekhterev and the radio inventor Alexander Popov are also buried here.
In 1935 the necropolis became a museum; the remains of Blok, Goncharov and Pomyalovsky were moved here.
Lenin's mother Maria Ulyanova and his sisters Anna and Olga are buried at Mostki.
The necropolis has about 500 gravestones.
