        • The museum opened on 15 October 1972 with 72 exhibits; now it has more than 4,000.
        • Pushkin stopped at the Vyra post station at least 13 times.
        • According to one version, Samson Vyrin's surname comes from the name of the village of Vyra.
        • The station was the third from Petersburg on the Dinaburg road — today's Kiev Highway.
        • Besides the stationmaster's house, a stable, a shed, a fire watchtower, a well, a saddlery and a smithy have been restored here.
        • The voices in the exhibition's sound-and-light show were recorded by actors of the Theatre on Liteyny.

        • The present stone church in the Byzantine style was built by the Synod's architect Ivan Bulanov and consecrated on 9 September 1883.
        • In 1937 the church was closed, and the priest, deacon and psalmist were shot along with their families.
        • Services resumed in 1941 during the occupation and have not stopped since.

        • The house was built in the late 18th century as a town governor's house: Catherine II planned to make Rozhdestveno a district town, but Gatchina became one instead.
        • The architect is unknown; Starov, Volkov or Lvov are named, but there is no proof.
        • In 1890 the estate was bought by the gold-mine owner Ivan Rukavishnikov — Nabokov's maternal grandfather.
        • In 1916 the 17-year-old Vladimir Nabokov inherited the estate from his uncle Vasily Rukavishnikov.
        • In Soviet times the house was a technical-school dormitory and a village school, and in 1995 it was badly damaged by fire.
