      A meadow bank of the Oredezh opposite Rozhdestveno, with the remains of a manor park and old trees.

      • Until 1917 Vyra was the Nabokov family's country estate.
      • Nabokov described his childhood at Vyra in his memoir Speak, Memory (in Russian, Other Shores).
      • In May 1919 at Vyra the Semyonovsky Regiment went over from the Reds to the Whites; Nikolai Tikhonov wrote the poem "Vyra" about it.
