🏛 Monument to the Porebrik and the Bordyur

Парк Победы, Бассейная ул., у д. 12 (рядом с ул. Анатолия Кони, за зданием РНБ)

A humorous monument to the eternal dispute between Petersburgers and Muscovites over what to call a kerb.

      • The monument was unveiled on 5 September 2017; the author is Vyacheslav Bukhaev.
      • The grey post is the "Petersburg porebrik", the red one the Moscow bordyur, its colour taken from Red Square.
      • Smiley faces are drawn on the posts, and an inscription invites you to "have fun together".
      • Its predecessor was the monument to the "Petersburg porebrik" that appeared on the Fontanka in spring 2016.
