        • In the 1930s the bell tower was blown up to straighten Mezhdunarodny Prospekt — but the site was never built over.
        • The 55.5-metre bell tower was rebuilt and consecrated in 2021–2022.
        • The Byzantine-style Kazan Church was built in the early 20th century by Vasily Kosyakov.
        • In October 2011 queues many kilometres long stretched along Moskovsky Prospekt to see the Belt of the Virgin.
        • The convent is mentioned in Blok's poem Retribution.

        • At 32.53 hectares it is the second-largest park in the Moskovsky district after Victory Park.

        • Novoizmailovsky Prospekt was laid out roughly along the former runway.

        • The area was called "Kekerikeksinen" in Finnish — "Frog Marsh" — and the palace was at first called the Frog Palace.
        • For it Catherine ordered a Wedgwood service "with a green frog" — 944 pieces for 50 people.
        • The palace was named Chesme to mark the 10th anniversary of the victory at Chesme (1770).
        • The sides of the triangular building are about 40 metres long, with a round state hall set in the centre.
        • In spring 1826 the body of Alexander I was moved here from the Taganrog coffin to a new one before the funeral.
        • From the 1830s the palace housed an almshouse for veterans of the War of 1812, when wings were added to the towers.
        • In 1919 the almshouse was closed and the "Chesmenka" concentration camp was set up.

        • According to tradition, Catherine received news of the victory at Chesme on this spot.
        • Officially it is the Church of the Nativity of St John the Baptist; for a time it was the church of the Order of St George.
        • In 1924 the cross on the dome was replaced by an anvil, tongs and a hammer.
        • "Faith" and "Hope" above the entrance are shown with uncovered, loose hair, and "Faith" holds a Latin cross.
        • The iconostasis, destroyed by fire in 1930, was recreated from drawings in the military history archive and consecrated in 1998.
