      • The park opened on 25 June 1960 as the 40th Anniversary of the Komsomol Park of Culture and Leisure; it has been called Kolpino Park since 2010.
      • The park occupies Chukhonka Island on the site of the village of Mokkolovo, mentioned as far back as the cadastre books of 1500.
      • The residents of Mokkolovo, ethnic Finns, were deported in spring 1942, and the village itself was razed in 1948.
      • The Izhora Pond is a man-made widening of the river, created by a dam for the needs of the Admiralty Izhora Works.
