      Antique machines and mechanisms that you can not only look at but touch and start up: the exhibits stand without display cases.

      • The museum opened in 2014 as a private one, based on Vyacheslav Khurtin's collection of machines and mechanisms.
      • Since 2016 it has been state-run and part of the Nizhny Novgorod State Museum-Reserve.
      • The exhibits aren't hidden behind glass and alarms: many mechanisms still work after a century.
