Pokrovka is pedestrian and flat, but the Toy Museum is down a flight of stairs and the Technical Museum is on the 3rd floor: you'll have to carry the stroller.

        📖 More about the placeCollapse
        • The museum opened in 2014 as a private one, based on Vyacheslav Khurtin's collection of machines and mechanisms.
        • Since 2016 it has been state-run and part of the Nizhny Novgorod State Museum-Reserve.
        • The exhibits aren't hidden behind glass and alarms: many mechanisms still work after a century.
