        • The present church was built in 1690–1694 on the site of a wooden church of 1619.
        • No documents about the author survive: the church is attributed either to Yakov Bukhvostov or to Pyotr Potapov.
        • The upper church of the Saviour Not Made by Hands is named in thanks for Lev Naryshkin's rescue during the Streltsy rebellion.
        • The carved decor and the iconostasis were made by Karp Zolotaryov, a master of the Ambassadorial Office.
        • In 1812 Napoleon's soldiers set up a stable in the lower church and a tailor's workshop in the upper one.
        • In July 1941 the domes and the upper octagon were removed so the church would not serve as a landmark for German spotters.
        • In 1980, for the Olympics, a branch of the Andrei Rublev Museum opened here; in 2019 the church was fully handed over to the Church.

        • In 1689 Peter I gave Fili to his uncle Lev Naryshkin, and the land stayed in the Naryshkin family for about 175 years.
        • Before that Fili was a royal hunting ground, where Alexei Mikhailovich hunted.
        • The last owner of the estate was the manufacturer and publisher Kozma Soldatyonkov, who bought it in 1869.
        • The park contains the Kuntsevo hillfort, one of the oldest fortified settlements in Moscow: the Vyatichi lived here in the 11th–13th centuries, and the rampart and ditch survive.
        • The park stretches 5 km along the Moskva River and covers 280 hectares.
        • As late as the 1970s elk were seen in the park, and Muscovites came here to pick mushrooms.

        • According to the chronicle, in 1554 Ivan the Terrible came to the consecration of the wooden church in Krylatskoye.
        • The stone church was built from 1862 to 1868 to a design by R. T. Vaudot, and the bell tower, designed by A. N. Stratilatov, was finished in 1877.
        • In 1941 the bell tower was destroyed by anti-aircraft gunners so it would not serve as a landmark for German aircraft.
        • When the village of Krylatskoye was demolished in the 1970s, the church was the only building left standing.
        • The original icon of the Rudnenskaya Mother of God was stolen and burned in 1936; the church keeps a copy from the early 20th century.
        • The church was returned to the Church in 1989, and the bell tower was rebuilt in the 1990s.

        • Some of the hills here are man-made, and the park has three ravines in all.
        • More than 60 species of land vertebrates live here, including the Red Data Book brown hare and the Nathusius' bat (rufous noctule).
        • More than 360 species of vascular plants grow on the hills.

        • The canal was built in 1972–1973 for the 63rd European Rowing Championships.
        • The canal is 2.3 km long, 125 m wide and 3.5 m deep; a return canal runs parallel so rowers do not interfere with races.
        • At the 1980 Olympics, medals in rowing and in canoe and kayak sprint were contested here.
        • The 3,400-seat grandstand with an 18-meter canopy almost balances itself and is angled toward the course at 8°.
        • The water level in the canal is 4 meters above the Moskva River, so a separate water intake was built for it.
        • In 2014 the canal hosted the Canoe Sprint World Championships.

        • Serebryany Bor became an island in 1937, when the Khoroshevo straightening canal was dug.
        • The current name was given by a dacha settlement of the early 20th century, while the "Silver Ravine" is mentioned as early as a 17th-century boundary charter.
        • From the 16th century until 1917 the forest belonged to the royal family or their courtiers; in the 19th century the Fanagoriysky Regiment was stationed here.
        • In 1991 Serebryany Bor was declared a natural monument.
        • About 400 species of vascular plants grow here, 40 of them tree species.

        • The water body covers 16–17 hectares: two reaches linked by channels, the main one 11 hectares.
        • According to legends, springs gush on the bottom and treasure and old silver mines are hidden there, but there is no documentary evidence for this.
