      🖼 Zakharovo Estate

      Одинцовский округ, д. Захарово

The estate of Pushkin's grandmother, where the poet spent summers as a child: a house recreated in 1999, 18th-century outbuildings, a pond and an old park. Part of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve.

      • The poet's grandmother Maria Alekseyevna Gannibal bought Zakharovo in November 1804 for 28,000 roubles.
      • Little Pushkin was brought here every summer from 1805 to 1810.
      • The two-storey manor house was built by the artillery captain I. Ya. Tinkov, who bought the estate in 1781.
      • Pushkin's house did not survive, and a mansion of the early 20th century that repeated it burned down in 1993.
      • From Pushkin's time the driveway alleys, ponds and lime-tree park have survived.
      • In 2005 a monument to Maria Gannibal with young Pushkin by the Voronezh sculptor A. E. Kozinin was installed at the estate.
