🖼 Museum of the History of the Russian Headscarf and Shawl

      Павловский Посад, Интернациональная ул., 34А

Vladimir Shishenin's private collection: headscarves and shawls of the 18th–20th centuries, from Pavlovsky Posad block-printed ones to cashmere; now in a new building in Mishutino.

      • The museum opened in 2002 on the initiative of the local collector Vladimir Shishenin.
      • According to the museum, the idea came to Shishenin when he bought a shawl with fine gold embroidery from antique dealers.
      • Besides headscarves and shawls, the collection includes silk and wool panels, headwear, antique tablecloths, bobbins and spinning wheels of the 18th–20th centuries.
