        • Before the revolution there was the Buff Summer Theatre here — its facades and the engineer Shukhov's trusses were preserved in the theatre's new building.
        • The Youth Theatre on the Fontanka is called the city's only theatre-garden: the garden serves as its “green foyer”.
        • Many of the garden's sculptures were made in the theatre's workshops.
        • Since 2017 the theatre has celebrated City Day in the garden.

The neighboring house on the Fontanka. 40 minutes is enough for the state rooms; the museum is closed on Tuesday, and you can enter the garden without the museum — with a separate ticket.

        • Derzhavin bought the plot with an unfinished house in 1791 and rebuilt it to his own needs.
        • The poet's friend, the architect Nikolai Lvov, took part in redesigning the house and garden.
        • After 1811 the “Colloquy of Lovers of the Russian Word” met in the big hall.
        • The construction cost more than 26,000 rubles — Derzhavin sold part of his lands and added his wife's dowry.
        • Since 2003 it has been a branch of the All-Russian A. S. Pushkin Museum.

        • It is 80 metres tall; when consecrated it was the largest church in Russia, and it holds over 3,000 people.
        • The blue domes with stars were Nicholas I's personal order in 1826.
        • In 2006 the main dome burned down during restoration; a new one was built of glued laminated timber, and the restoration was finished in 2017.
