        • The layout was drawn by Braunstein in 1710–1711, and in 1717 Le Blond presented the “Water Plan” of the fountains.
        • The “Divanchiki” (Little Sofas) trick fountain of 1721–1723 is the oldest of Peterhof's trick fountains.
        • The marble colonnades of 1800–1803 earned the former serf Andrey Voronikhin the title of architect.
        • The “Roman Fountains” appeared in 1739 and were wooden, with lead-lined basins.

        • The park is named after Alexandra Feodorovna: Nicholas I gave her this estate, and from 1830 to 1917 it was the emperors' summer residence.
        • Even earlier, Menshikov began building a palace here, "Moncourage" ("My Courage"), but never finished it.
        • From 1733, under Anna Ioannovna, there was a hunting park here, the Jagd-Garten, with deer, boars, buffalo and even tigers.
        • The landscape park was created over twenty years by the master gardener Peter Erler; in 1970 his grave was moved to Alexandria.
        • At the Lower Dacha, Nicholas II signed the manifesto bringing Russia into the First World War; the dacha was demolished in the early 1960s.

        • The Church of Alexander Nevsky was built to a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and Nicholas I chose the site himself.
        • It was laid down on 24 May 1831 and consecrated on 3 July 1834; services were held here only in summer, as it was the royal family's private church.
        • About a thousand cast-iron decorative details were cast in 1832 at the Alexandrovsky Plant.
        • At the corners stand twenty-metre towers with cast-iron spires and gilded crosses.
        • On 26–27 September 2006 the coffin of Empress Maria Feodorovna, brought from Denmark for reburial, stood here.
        • The chapel before restoration can be seen in the 1967 film Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha.

        • Work on the Cottage began in 1826 on Nicholas I's orders on the ruins of Menshikov's Moncourage; the architect was Adam Menelaws.
        • The name comes from the English word cottage, "a small country house", and the palace was built in the English Gothic style.
        • The walls were painted by Giovanni Battista Scotti, and the walnut "Gothic suite" was made in Gambs's workshops.
        • The drawing room holds the silver "Potsdam Cup", in memory of the chivalric "Festival of the White Rose" in Potsdam.
        • In 1843–1844 Stackenschneider added a Dining Room with a Marble Terrace to the palace.
        • In the war 1,980 of 2,500 exhibits were saved; after restoration led by Irina Benois, the palace opened in 1979.
