        • The building was finally completed only in the 1970s.
        • The palace's hall seats two thousand spectators.
        • The House of Culture's photo club, created in 1953, is called the country's first amateur photographers' club.

        • The owner's house, which was also the office, was built under K. K. Anderson in several stages from 1870 to 1886.
        • In 1902–1903 Roman Meltzer extended the mansion; the facades are in the spirit of an Italian Renaissance palazzo.
        • Fyodor Lidval roofed the iron foundry with reinforced-concrete trusses with a curved upper chord.
        • The Art Nouveau People's Reading Room was built by Meltzer in 1897–1910; after the Revolution it housed a Pioneers' Palace.
        • Many of the factory buildings burned down in the war.

        • Ludwig Nobel bought the plot for the housing colony in the mid-1880s, and his son Emanuel developed it.
        • The first three stone houses were built in 1893–1895 to designs by V. A. Schröter.
        • Meltzer built buildings 1–2 in 1906 from concrete blocks — one of the early examples of block construction.
        • Only workers valuable to the plant, usually hereditary craftsmen, were given apartments here.
        • In 2011 the passage inside the town was named Nobelsky Lane — after the old Petersburg form of the surname.
