        • In 2014 a stele with a mosaic portrait, from a sketch by his widow, was placed on the grave of Mikhail Gorshenyov of "Korol i Shut".

        • The park covers 116 hectares, more than 80% of it forest, mostly pine and birch.
        • The forest was declared a suburban park in 1938, but the war interrupted its development.
        • During the Siege, the fuel and weapons depots of the Grazhdanka airfield were hidden in the forest — traces of trenches and revetments are still visible.
        • Ornithologists have counted more than 50 bird species in the park, including five species of woodpecker and the goshawk.
        • In 1975–1977 the USSR's first specialised football school, Smena, was built on the edge of the park.
