The Yachtny Bridge is high and windy, with no lifts — the climb is long; you can skip it and start from Begovaya metro (it has a lift), right by the 300th Anniversary Park. The park is flat. Strollers aren’t allowed up to the Lakhta observation deck — they’re left on the 3rd floor.

        • This is Petersburg's longest and highest pedestrian bridge: the whole crossing is 940 m, and the bridge itself over the Bolshaya Nevka is 490 m.
        • The bridge was built at their own expense by five road construction companies and presented to the city; the main work ran from 25 February to 20 December 2016.
        • One version of the design was a covered two-level bridge with shops in the spirit of Florence's Ponte Vecchio, but no investor was found.
        • There are two viewing platforms on the bridge on the Neva Bay side.

        • The park was laid out in 1995 for the city's 300th anniversary.
        • Of the original 89 ha the park has 38.58 ha left — the rest was given over to development.
        • The granite lighthouse column in the centre of the park rises 22 metres.
        • Helsinki gave the park 300 ornamental apple trees, and in 2003 a Finnish “Friendship Stone” with a metal ball inside was installed here.
        • In 2017 the Republic of Korea gave five “Dol hareubang” statues of volcanic lava — symbols of happiness from Jeju Island.
        • In 2023 three 175-metre flagpoles were erected nearby — the tallest in Europe at the time of their opening.

        • The tower is 462 m high; it is the world's northernmost skyscraper.
        • The project was first called Okhta Center; the tower's pentagonal plan echoes the Swedish fortress of Nyenschantz on the Okhta.
        • The concept's author is the architect Charles Fu of the British firm RMJM, which won the 2006 competition.
        • The tower stands on 264 piles that go down to 82 metres in the ground.
        • In 2015, 19,624 m³ of concrete were poured into the foundation slab in 49 hours — a Guinness record for continuous pouring.
        • The tower reached its design height on 29 January 2018.
        • The viewing deck on floors 83–86, at 365 m, opened in February 2025 — it is the highest observation deck in Europe.
