A quiet river in the green strip between Zdorovtseva and Dobrovoltsev streets; on its left bank are two concrete German tobruks.
Along Zdorovtseva Street — the green strip of the Ivanovka river. The concrete tobruks are on the left bank south of Prospekt Veteranov; to the water over grass, slippery when damp.
        📖 More about the placeCollapse
        • The Ivanovka was named in the 19th century after the village of Ivanovskaya and flows into the Dudergof Canal.
        • The right bank was once home to the German colony of Solomenka, with the old Lutheran Buxhoeveden cemetery.
        • South of Veteranov Avenue, two half-ruined German tobruks — concrete machine-gun nests — survive on the left bank.
        • The river is between 2 and 6 metres wide.

↩️ Getting back: From Prospekt Veteranov by bus east to Prospekt Veteranov metro — about 20 minutes.
