🏛 Peace Bell in Sakharov Park
        парк Академика Сахарова, Бестужевская ул.
The Japanese “Nagasaki Bell”, a memorial to the victims of the atomic bombings, given to the city in 1988.
Across Bestuzhevskaya Street, in Sakharov Park. In the southeastern corner of the park is a monument to the victims of radiation accidents.
        📖 More about the placeCollapse
        • The bell was installed on 9 August 1988 — on the 43rd anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki.
        • The author is the Japanese sculptor Matsuoka Kuniichi.
        • It is a gift in return: in Nagasaki's Peace Park stands the sculpture “Peace” by Mikhail Anikushin.
        • In the south-eastern part of the park, a monument to the victims of radiation accidents and disasters has stood since 2003.

        Кондратьевский пр., 83, корп. 1
        🎟 ticket
The only state museum of the submarine fleet: models of boats, torpedoes, the hatch of a nuclear submarine and a submarine conning tower in the yard.
15 minutes along Bestuzhevskaya to the west. The conning tower of B-107 stands at the entrance — you can see it without a ticket. Inside are model boats and a hatch from a nuclear submarine; allow 40 minutes for the visit.

        • In 1998 the conning tower of the diesel submarine B-107, Project 641, was placed by the museum.
        • A bulkhead hatch from the nuclear submarine K-385 is built into the hall wall.
        • The collection holds about 13,500 items — more than half of them in storage.
        • The museum's second site is a centre for the history of radiation accident clean-up.

↩️ Getting back: Back to Piskaryovka platform — about 20 minutes on foot. To Ploshchad Lenina metro it's easier by bus along Kondratyevsky — look up the number in Yandex Maps.
