        🖼 Toy Museum
наб. реки Карповки, 32 (вход с ул. Всеволода Вишневского, 22)
        🎟 ticket
A small private museum with toys from different eras — from rag dolls to Soviet toy cars; little ones enjoy looking, adults enjoy remembering.
Easier to get here by taxi. Opens at 11:00, closed on Mondays. Enter from Vishnevskogo Street. Half an hour is enough: the baby looks at dolls and toy cars, you at your own childhood toys.

        • The museum was founded in May 1997 and became Russia's second toy museum after the one in Sergiev Posad.
        • It is one of Petersburg's first non-state museums and lives on donations.
        • The museum's collection has more than 17 thousand items — handmade and factory toys from different countries.

        🚶 Karpovka Embankment
A narrow river with granite embankments and trees, winding through the Petrogradskaya Side.
If the rain has eased — 10 minutes along the Karpovka to the restaurant, just the time for a stroller nap. If it's pouring — a taxi.

        • The Karpovka is an arm of the Neva 3 km long and about 20 m wide, between Petrogradsky and Aptekarsky islands.
        • The name is a corruption of the Finnish Korpijoki, translated both as “forest” and as “crow” river.
        • The banks of the Karpovka were faced with granite only in the 1960s–70s.
        • No. 13 is the first residential building of the Leningrad Soviet (1932–1935, architects Levinson and Fomin), a model of Constructivism.
        • In 2021 the sculpture “Sad Angel” appeared by the Medical University, in memory of medics who died of coronavirus.
