      🌳 Playground in Yuzhno-Primorsky Park

      Южно-Приморский парк, у ул. Доблести

A playground in the eastern part of the park, not far from the main entrance on Peterhof Highway.

      • The 58-hectare park was laid out in 1960–1970 for Lenin's centenary on the site of a swamp, led by architect A. G. Lelyakov.
      • The designers intended a wide avenue to lead the park to the Gulf of Finland, but the plan was never carried out.
      • In November 1999 the park's 28-metre "Hammer and Sickle" monument was blown up.
      • The park's two ponds, linked by a canal, have small islands.
