      🌳 Playground in Udelny Park

Удельный парк, южная часть (со стороны Фермского шоссе)

A playground in the southern part of the park, among pines and larches.

      • The park began as the "forest dacha" of the Udelninsky Forestry School, opened in 1832 for serfs.
      • The park sits on two terraces separated by a 5–6-metre ledge — the shore of an ancient sea.
      • From 1934 to 1991 the park was called the Chelyuskintsev Park.
      • Legend has it that a pine planted by Peter the Great grew near the Spartak stadium until the end of the 20th century — now only a stump remains.
      • From 1968 the Spartak stadium in the park hosted the first running club in the USSR.
