      • Regimental churches used to stand on this site; in the 1760s the Keksholm Regiment consecrated a wooden one in honour of St Catherine.
      • The wooden church burned down at Christmas 1809 — only the church's icon was saved.
      • The present church was laid in 1811 to a design by Andrei Mikhailov the Second; because of the war it took 12 years to build and was consecrated in 1823.
      • The bell tower with a refectory was added in 1861–1863.
