      • The ITMO interactive optics museum opened in 2008 on the ground floor of the former house of the merchant Grigory Eliseyev.
      • The Eliseyev apartment building was built in 1884 by the architect A. K. Bruni, and from the 1920s to the 1990s the State Optical Institute worked here.
      • Some of the holograms in the museum were made in the days of Yuri Denisyuk, the founder of optical holography, who worked in this building.
      • The 11 halls include optical clones of Fabergé pieces, among them his Easter eggs, and a collection of optical glass.
