      • The Lyceum opened on 19 October 1811 — graduates later celebrated this day as “Lyceum Day”.
      • At first it was also meant to teach Alexander I's younger brothers, Nicholas and Michael.
      • The wing was built in the 1790s for Paul I's daughters, and in 1811 Vasily Stasov rebuilt it as the Lyceum.
      • The curriculum was drawn up by Mikhail Speransky; boys aged 10–14 were admitted and studied for six years.
      • Pushkin's classmates included Gorchakov, Küchelbecker and Pushchin.
      • In 1843 the Lyceum was moved to Petersburg, to Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt, and named the Alexander Lyceum.
      • The memorial museum opened in 1949, when the neighbouring Kustov Lane was renamed Litseisky (Lyceum) Lane.
