      🏛 Feodorovsky Cathedral

      Миргородская ул., 1В

A church-monument to the 300th anniversary of the Romanovs in the spirit of 17th-century Rostov cathedrals; in Soviet times it was a dairy plant.

      • The cathedral was built to a design by Stepan Krichinsky for the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov; Nicholas II donated 25,000 rubles to it.
      • Nicholas II and his daughters attended the consecration of the lower church in 1913.
      • The building is reinforced concrete, though it looks like an Old Russian cathedral.
      • After the church was closed, it was given to a dairy plant and its domes were taken down.
      • The restoration was completed in 2013 — for the cathedral's 100th anniversary and the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov.
