      🏛 Intercession Church

      просп. Революции, 17, Балахна

      A stone church of 1648 next to St Nicholas — together they are what remains of the Intercession Monastery.

      • The stone Intercession Church was built in 1648 in place of a wooden one.
      • In 1903 John of Kronstadt celebrated the liturgy here.
      • The church was closed in 1937, and from 1950 it housed a local history museum.
