        • The main house was built by Yevgeny Baratynsky himself in 1842.
        • From the 1870s the family of the poet's son Ivan Fyodorovich Tyutchev lived at the estate, and it preserved the manuscripts, books and belongings.
        • Muranovo is one of the country's first literary museums: Tolstoy's museum at Yasnaya Polyana opened only a year later.
        • In July 2006 the house was badly damaged by a fire after a lightning strike, but staff saved almost all the exhibits.
        • The house's restoration finished in 2009, and the exhibition was fully restored by August 2015.
        • Sergey Solovyov's “The Stationmaster” was filmed in the house: the library, dining room, study and drawing rooms appear in the film.

        • Baratynsky not only built the house here but also set up a sawmill, refitted the mill and planted a new forest.
        • The estate is surrounded by three green hills, celebrated in Baratynsky's poems.
        • Deep in the park there once stood heated greenhouses: so many peaches and pineapples were grown that part was sold.
