About 12 minutes along Marc Chagall Embankment to Avtozavodsky Bridge. Two lines leave from the pier — board the boat toward Pechatniki. Pay with a Troika card, bank card or biometrics: in winter 100–110 ₽ on weekdays and 155–165 ₽ at weekends; free with the Edinyi pass for 30/90/365 days and for children under 7.

🏛 Southern River Terminal (Yuzhny Rechnoy Vokzal)
        пр-т Андропова, 11, корп. 2
A Soviet-modernist river terminal on Nagatinskaya Embankment, reopened after reconstruction in 2023.
Get off at the fourth stop. Inside the station building you can see the only wall left from the 1985 building, and at the entrance stand figures of the five seas. In winter the boat follows an icebreaker — allow an extra 15–20 minutes.

        • The terminal moved here, to Nagatinskaya Embankment, in 1972 and worked from a temporary floating pier until 1985.
        • The Soviet-modernist building was built in 1985; the first sailing was the motor ship Pavel Yudin to Astrakhan.
        • In 2017 the city tried through the courts to demolish the building as an illegal construction, but in 2018 the court rejected the claim.
        • In 2021–2023 the terminal was effectively built anew: only one brick wall of the 1985 building remains, and it is shown inside.
        • The concrete figures of the five seas weighed about 3.5 tonnes each; copies made of fibreglass from 3D scans stand in their place today.
        • After the opening in April 2023, the first ship to call at the terminal was the Borodino.

        • The main facade is styled as a fairy-tale castle, and the central tower is 75 m tall.
        • Moscow Square is covered by an 8,000 m² glass dome, 25 m high, the largest in Europe.
        • The project was designed by the British studios Cunningham Architects and Chapman Taylor, with landscaping by Italy's Land Milano.
        • The themed zones were originally to feature characters from Soyuzmultfilm, but this was dropped.

        • The peninsula appeared in 1968, when a 3.5 km canal was dug to straighten the Moskva River.
        • To drain the marshy floodplain, more than 1 million cubic metres of soil were piled up here.
        • The name comes from the village of Nagatino; by one version, from the many gats (log roads over marsh).
        • In 1977 the 60th Anniversary of October Park was laid out here, created by workers of the ZIL plant and local residents.
        • In 2008 there were plans to build Norman Foster's 450-metre skyscraper, Crystal Island, here; the project was not realised.
