        • The bowl is up to 1 km across and about 40 m deep; by one estimate it is the third-largest natural monument in Moscow by area.
        • It was dug by the Skhodnya itself: after the glacier, the full-flowing river ran along the upper edge of the cliff and gradually cut deeper.
        • The "Skhodnya skullcap", the remains of a person from the Upper Paleolithic, was found here.
        • The bowl holds the Tushino hillfort of the Dyakovo culture, excavated in 1927 by the archaeologist Konstantin Vinogradov.
        • An ancient trade route linking Moscow with Vladimir and Suzdal ran through these places.
        • Moorhens, nightingales and bluethroats nest on the marshy bottom.

        • By one account, the stone house was built in 1813–1815 on the site of a wooden one that burned in 1812.
        • In 1780 Count Alexander Stroganov bought the estate as a settlement for his wife Ekaterina Trubetskaya; she lived here with Ivan Rimsky-Korsakov, a former favorite of Catherine II.
        • The last owner, Prince Nikolai Shcherbatov, was director of the Historical Museum and had a telephone line run to the estate from Moscow.
        • In 1925 an experimental station for new crops of the Institute of Applied Botany worked here, led by Nikolai Vavilov.
        • After the Chelyuskin in 1934, Otto Schmidt rested here and arranged for the estate to become a rest home for polar explorers.
        • In the 1830s–1840s views of Brattsevo itself were painted on the vault of the domed belvedere.

        • The Project 641B "Som" (Tango-class) submarine was built in 1979–1980 at the Krasnoye Sormovo plant in Gorky.
        • In 1980–1998 it served in the Northern Fleet and sailed to the Mediterranean and the coast of Africa.
        • At first they wanted to place the submarine on the Kremlin Embankment, then in Gorky Park.
        • The museum opened on 26 July 2006; an entrance in the bow and an exit in the stern were cut into the hull for visitors.
        • All six torpedo tubes are preserved, and the former engine compartment is taken up by an exhibition.
        • In winter the conning tower is closed: it is dangerous on the icy steps.

        • The Orlyonok was created at Rostislav Alekseev's design bureau and entered Soviet Navy service in November 1979.
        • The ekranoplan carried up to 200 marines or two armored vehicles and reached 400–500 km/h.
        • The nose swings aside together with the pilots' cabin, which is how troops and equipment were loaded.
        • Five Orlyonoks were built in all, although the Navy's plans called for 120.
        • In summer 2007 the best-preserved example was towed along the Volga from Kaspiysk to Moscow.
        • During trials on the Volga in 1972, locals were told it was an airplane that had landed on the water and was being moved.

        • A Neolithic site from the 3rd–2nd millennium BC and a Slavic settlement were found on the park's grounds.
        • The park's bay is the remnant of the large ravine of the Zakharkovsky stream.
        • The alley for Pushkin's 200th anniversary, with a memorial stone, was laid out in 1999.
        • A major reconstruction with an embankment and a beach was carried out in 2013.
