        • The backwater is not an old river channel but a sand quarry dug in the 1960s for the construction of Shchukino and Khoroshyovo-Mnyovniki.
        • It is the widest body of water within Moscow's limits: about 1.9 km from west to east.
        • The average depth is about 5 m, but there are pits 15–30 m deep.
        • The bay does not yet appear in German aerial photos from 1942.
        • In 2005 the floodplain received the status of a specially protected natural area as part of Moskvoretsky Park.

        • The village was granted to Prince Boris Lykov in 1610 — hence the second half of its name.
        • The construction dates are disputed: 1694–1697 commissioned by Martemyan Naryshkin, or 1698–1703, already under his brother Lev.
        • The probable architect is the contractor Yakov Bukhvostov; on the river side the site was extended with an earth mound.
        • According to the inscription on the antimension, Peter I and Tsarevich Alexei attended the consecration.
        • In 1935, already closed, the ensemble was noted by the League of Nations as an outstanding architectural monument.
        • The carving has been restored since the 1970s, and the reconstruction was completed in 2009.

        • The stone church was built in the 1840s–1850s on the initiative of Nikolay Buturlin; the estimate was signed by the architect Nikolay Kozlovsky.
        • The side chapels were consecrated in honor of the Buturlins' patron saints — Catherine and Nicholas.
        • A Dormition church had already appeared in the village in the 1690s: the old wooden Trinity church was moved and re-consecrated in honor of the Dormition.
        • In 1902 Semyon Kulagin rebuilt the church in the Russian style and added a tent-roofed bell tower.
        • A bell weighing about 600 poods (roughly 10 tons) from the Finlyandsky foundry was hoisted onto the bell tower.
        • In the 19th century the local historian Yartsev described the church as "with a blue dome strewn with stars".
