        • The village's owner, Prince Pyotr Golitsyn, received permission for a stone church as early as 1680, but construction dragged on.
        • Work was interrupted while Golitsyn was ambassador in Vienna (1700–1701); a priest was appointed in 1708 — this date is considered the most reliable.
        • The church's volumes echo the cathedral of the Vysoko-Petrovsky Monastery: an octagon on an eight-lobed base, crowned with a faceted dome.
        • The white-stone pediments with carved flowers and fruit resemble the decor of the Church of the Sign in Dubrovitsy — perhaps made by the same master.
        • The "restoration" of 1956–1959 demolished the 1906 additions and the bell tower, leaving only the Baroque church of the early 18th century.
        • The priest Vasily Koklin, who served here in 1927–1937, was shot at Butovo and canonized in 2000.

        • The linden park was laid out in the mid-18th century on the Razumovsky estate; D. I. Gilardi took part in its layout.
        • By decree of Elizabeth Petrovna, a wooden palace designed by Rastrelli was built here in 1747–1748; a few years later it was dismantled.
        • On the palace site the Vladivostok cinema opened in 1967; since 2022 it has been the Moscow Theatre of Illusions.
        • During the war an anti-aircraft battery stood in the park covering Perovo station, and the park was badly damaged by bombing.
        • The park covers 15.6 hectares.

        • Under Soviet rule Sidur was accused of formalism and pacifism and expelled from the Communist Party.
        • The first exhibition of his works opened on 11 September 1987, after the sculptor's death, and seven weeks later was closed by decision of the Party Central Committee.
        • In those seven weeks 15,000 people managed to see it; it reopened in September 1988 and became a museum in 1989.
        • The author's models of monuments installed around the world are kept here: "To the Victims of Violence" in Kassel, "Treblinka" in Berlin, the portrait of Einstein in Princeton.
        • Sidur assembled the cycles "Coffin-Art" and "Iron Prophets" from sewer pipes and car engine parts.
        • The museum's halls are divided into three themes: war, peace and repentance.

        • The 141-hectare forest park was officially separated from Izmailovsky Park in 1972.
        • The name comes from the surname Torletsky, the owners of the local Gireyevo estate from 1852 until the revolution (it is often distorted to "Terletsky").
        • Part of the alley from Svobodny Prospekt is a fragment of the old Vladimir Road.
        • From the 1920s the Red Army's service dog-breeding school trained dogs in the oak grove; in 2009 sculptures by Salavat Shcherbakov were set up to honor it and the road.
        • The five ponds, covering 11.6 hectares in total, appeared between the 18th and early 20th centuries; they are declared a natural monument.
        • The two golden oak branches on the coat of arms of the Ivanovskoye district symbolize the Terletsky oak grove.

        📖 More about the placeCollapse
        • The Novogireyevo dacha village was developed in the early 20th century by Alexander Ivanovich Torletsky.
        • It was advertised as the first planned and well-appointed village near Moscow: running water in every house, its own telephone exchange and post office.
        • In 1908 the village got its own station platform, Novogireyevo.
        • A horse tram ran from the platform along Baronsky Prospekt — today's Soyuzny — a rarity for dacha villages.
        • In 2014 the Art-Naive-Park opened at the museum, with the "Konka" pavilion — a tram car pulled by a pair of iron horses.
