        • The monastery is first mentioned in the cadastral books of 1573/74 — at that time it stood "empty", in ruins.
        • In the late 17th century Patriarch Adrian made the monastery a summer residence and in 1700 consecrated a new St Nicholas Cathedral.
        • From the 1660s the monastery owned the Iveron Chapel by the Resurrection Gate on Red Square — the main source of its income.
        • The Perervinsky Seminary opened here in 1775, and on 9 May of that year Catherine II visited the monastery.
        • In 1812 the French occupied the monastery for more than a month and ate and slept in the lower St Sergius church.
        • In the 1830s the architect Mikhail Bove rebuilt the cell buildings in a uniform Empire style.
        • The Iveron Cathedral by the architect Pyotr Vinogradov was consecrated on 7 September 1908.
        • In the late 1960s the cathedral was adapted as a factory workshop and divided into three floors with concrete slabs.

        • Patriarch Alexy II laid the foundation of the large church on 2 September 1999, and Patriarch Kirill performed the great consecration on 27 February 2011.
        • It is called the first church built in Moscow in the 21st century; the money was raised by the district administration, builders and residents.
