        • The bay of about 8 hectares appeared in 1980, when sand was extracted here for building Maryino.
        • The park's hills were heaped up from more than 600,000 m³ of soil removed during the construction of the Lefortovo Tunnel.
        • The park opened in autumn 2006; it is also called the Borisov Hills.
        • In 2016–2018 the Rostec International Fireworks Festival was held here.

        • The pond appeared around 1600, when the Tsar Boris dam was built by order of Boris Godunov.
        • It is Moscow's largest historic body of water: the water surface covers 75.55 hectares and the depth is 1.5–2.5 m.
        • In the cadastral books of 1627–1628 the pond is recorded as "the Sovereign's" — with a stone dam and a mill.
        • In the early 1970s an island was heaped up in the middle of the pond for the Kashirskoye Highway bridges, dividing it into the Shipilovsky and Borisovsky reaches.
        • The pond closes the cascade of the Tsaritsyno ponds and has been part of the Tsaritsyno nature-and-history park since 1998.
