        • The arch was built in 1954 to a design by Innokenty Melchakov during the post-war reconstruction of the exhibition.
        • The five-span gate was conceived as a triumphal arch in honour of victory in the war.
        • The earlier main entrance of 1939, designed by Leonid Polyakov, is now called the North Entrance.
        • The arch is crowned by Sergey Orlov's Tractor Driver and Collective Farm Girl sculpture, clad in gold smalt.
        • The restoration begun in 2017 was the first in the arch's history.
        • The exhibition itself opened on 1 August 1939 and now covers 240 hectares.

        • Atom opened on 2 November 2023 and was the first pavilion built at VDNKh since the collapse of the USSR.
        • The UNK Project bureau's design won a competition of 118 entries; the jury included Rem Koolhaas and Massimiliano Fuksas.
        • The pavilion has three underground floors — the deepest building at VDNKh; the third basement level tells the story of the Soviet atomic project.
        • The glazed atrium is covered by a 1,000-ton cantilevered canopy, and each of the facade's 50 laminated glass panes weighs 5 tons.
        • In the hall with the VVER-1000 reactor model, an audiovisual show takes place every hour.
        • The roof has a landscaped terrace, an observation deck and a café, with views over the VDNKh grounds.
        • The pavilion stands on the site of the 1960s "Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture" pavilion, demolished in 2016.

        • The model was installed by the pavilion on 20 September 1969.
        • During the 2009–2010 repairs it turned out that in 1985 the original rocket had been quietly replaced with an identical one.
        • The real Vostok put the Vostok-1 spacecraft with Yuri Gagarin into orbit on 12 April 1961.
        • The pavilion behind the rocket was built in 1938–1939 as a terminal shed resembling the Kievsky Station train shed.
        • The "Cosmos" exhibition appeared in the pavilion in 1967, and in 1991 the "Gagarin Party" rave festival was held under its vaults.
        • The "Cosmonautics and Aviation" center in the pavilion opened on 12 April 2018, Cosmonautics Day.
        • Under the dome hangs a portrait of Gagarin with a dove — a round panel 10 m across, based on a 1961 photo taken in Bulgaria.
