        🖼 Soyuzmultfilm Animation Museum
ул. Академика Королёва, 21, стр. 1 (киностудия «Союзмультфильм»)
🎟 ticket · by sessions, buy a ticket in advance on the studio's website
An interactive museum right at the studio that made Nu, pogodi! and Winnie-the-Pooh: the exhibition follows the stages of making a cartoon — from script to voice-over — and you can try almost everything by hand.
Buy a session ticket in advance on the studio’s website and come 15 minutes early. The exhibition follows the stages: how a script is written, drawn, filmed and voiced. The highlight for kids is the recording studio: put on headphones and voice a scene from a familiar cartoon. It’s 15 minutes on foot from Butyrskaya metro, or from VDNKh metro take bus 379 to the “Telecentr” stop
        📖 More about the placeCollapse
        • The studio was founded in 1936 as Soyuzdetmultfilm; in 2026 it turned 90.
        • The museum opened in the studio building in July 2026.
        • The exhibition is laid out as a cartoon's journey: from the "ideas workshop" and script to filming and sound.
        • In the sound recording studio you can pick a scene from a familiar cartoon and voice it yourself.
        • Nu, pogodi!, Winnie-the-Pooh, Three from Prostokvashino and Cheburashka with Gena the Crocodile were all made here.

        🌅 Ostankino TV Tower
🎟 ticket · guided tours only, passport required
The tallest structure in Europe at 540 m, with a glassed-in observation deck at a height of 337 m.
15 minutes along Akademika Koroleva Street to the foot of the tower. From below you can see it stands on ten concrete “legs” — count them together. The climb to the viewing deck is by ticket and with a passport, so it’s better to save it for another day

        • Designer Nikolai Nikitin claimed he came up with the tower in a single night, and that the shape of the base was suggested by an upside-down lily he saw in a dream.
        • The tower's concrete shaft is compressed by 149 steel cables.
        • The foundation is shallow, 3.5 to 4.6 m; because of doubts about it, construction was halted in 1961.
        • The first TV signal from the tower went out on 4 November 1967, for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution.
        • The observation deck and restaurant opened in 1969.
        • In the fire of 27 August 2000 three floors burned out and three people died.
        • The Seventh Heaven restaurant at 328–334 m reopened only in 2016, after the fire.

Several playgrounds under old trees next to the pond and the Ostankino estate.
Another 10 minutes across Ostankino Pond — and playgrounds under old trees: slides and sandboxes for toddlers, climbing frames for school kids. Great for running off steam after the museum
        📖 More about the placeCollapse
        • The grove that the park grew from was planted around 1584 under the clerk Vasily Shchelkalov, owner of the village of Ostashkino.
        • From 1743 to 1917 Ostankino belonged to the Sheremetevs; the park, with its formal and landscape parts, took shape by the turn of the 18th–19th centuries.
        • A park of culture and leisure opened here in 1932 under the name of Dzerzhinsky; it became Ostankino Park in 1991.
        • After the 2014 reconstruction the park was combined with VDNKh and the Botanical Garden into a 540 ha recreation area.
        • In September 2024 a monument to Gavriil Derzhavin was unveiled at the entrance from 1st Ostankinskaya Street.
