      ⏱ 1 h 10 min🚶 2 km🍽 1📍 3 stops
      🐢 A little — under 3 km

A short show with a mouse railway at Durov's, lunch at a café with a ball pit and the warm tropics of the Apothecaries' Garden in any weather.

👶 With kids☔️ If it rains⏱ An hour or so
      👶 3–6 years · ✗ hard with a stroller

In the theatres the stroller goes to the cloakroom, and AnderSon's play area is in the basement — a sling or a stroller you can fold is easier. Take a taxi for the first transfer.

        • The mansion on the former Staraya Bozhedomka was built in 1894 by the Austrian architect August Weber, and Durov bought it in 1908 and converted it into a home for animals.
        • At its opening in 1912 there was the 90-seat "Kroshka" theater, a natural science museum and a laboratory for observing animals.
        • Durov developed a system of gentle training based on humane treatment of animals.
        • In 1924–1931 Alexander Chizhevsky, author of the "Chizhevsky chandelier", worked in the Corner's laboratory.
        • The museum's "Durov Railway", with a locomotive from the Putilov plant: in the act, monkeys were the engineers, a bear was the porter and a bulldog was the station master.
        • The museum is set up in the rooms where Durov lived with his family, and figurines of prehistoric animals he modeled stand on the main staircase.
        • In November 2022 the theater's new stage with a 450-seat amphitheater opened on Durova Street.

Lunch: the play area with a ball pit and cartoons is meant for toddlers — six-year-olds may be bored there. Children take their shoes off and parents get shoe covers.
🍴 A family café-pastry shop by Prospekt Mira with a free play room for little ones: a ball pit, soft building blocks and a cartoon room. What to order: the signature syrniki (fried curd pancakes) with raspberry puree and sour cream, kids' "Bunny Syrniki", homemade blini.

        • The garden was founded in 1706, when the state garden of medicinal plants was moved here from beneath the Kremlin walls.
        • Peter I planted a spruce, a fir and a larch here himself; according to legend, one larch survives to this day.
        • The first director in 1735–1742 was the botanist Traugott Gerber, after whom the gerbera flower is named.
        • In 1805 Moscow University bought the garden for 11,000 silver roubles.
        • The Palm Greenhouse was built in 1891.
        • The white willow growing here is considered the oldest tree in central Moscow.
