✨ Playground by the Vorontsovo estate

      Воронцовский парк, 3

A spacious playground with slides, swings and ropes next to the park's main alley.

      • The park got its name from Fyodor Vorones, a boyar of Dmitry Donskoy who owned these lands in the second half of the 14th century.
      • The estate's main entrance is a "Turkish fortress" put up by Field Marshal Nikolay Repnin in memory of the capture of the city of Machin.
      • In 1923 the Left SR leader Maria Spiridonova was moved to the estate prison; in 1925 she was sent into exile in Samarkand.
      • In Soviet times a factory of plastic toys and dominoes worked in the estate's Trinity church.
      • The park of about 48.7 hectares was fully reopened after restoration on 14 July 2007.
