🏛 Sculpture terrace behind the Timiryazev Academy main building

      Тимирязевская ул., 49, парк академии

The upper terrace of the formal park of the Petrovskoye-Razumovskoye estate: allegorical statues, vases on the fence pylons and a monument to Peter I. From here the central alley leads down to the Great Garden Pond.

      • The formal terraced park was laid out under Count K. G. Razumovsky in the second half of the 18th century.
      • The allegorical sculptures on the terrace were brought here from the Razumovskys' city estate.
      • Under Razumovsky the fence pylons were crowned with busts of Roman emperors — now there are vases in their place.
      • The park borders the Schroeder Arboretum and the Timiryazev Forest.
