      • The station opened on 14 March 1954 and closed the Circle line.
      • The design competition drew 40 entries; architects from Kyiv led by E. I. Katonin won.
      • The station lies at a depth of 53 meters.
      • The 18 mosaic panels on the pylons are devoted to the history of Ukraine and the friendship of the Russian and Ukrainian peoples.
      • The partisan in the mosaic "The Struggle for Soviet Power in Ukraine" holds a field telephone, which passengers take for a mobile phone or a laptop.
      • In 2006 the French designed the entrance to the transfer passage in the style of Guimard's Paris metro; in return Moscow gave the Madeleine station a stained-glass window of "Ryaba the Hen".
      • It is the only station on the Circle line outside the Central District.
