      🖼 Dutch House in Kuskovo

ул. Юности, 2, стр. 12 (усадьба Кусково)

A brick house of 1749 with a stepped gable, tiles inside and its own little pond, a corner of Holland in the Sheremetev estate.

      • The start date of construction, 1749, is written right on the facade of the house.
      • The ground floor was a kitchen, and the second floor a drawing room.
      • The gazebos and vegetable garden around the pond created the illusion of a Dutch street on a canal bank.
      • The exhibition includes trompe-l'oeil figures from the 18th century.
      • In the film "Hello, I'm Your Aunt!" (1975) the house played Colonel Chesney's home.
