🖼 Memorial Garage at Gorki Leninskiye

      Ленинский г. о., пгт Горки Ленинские, 1, стр. 11

The estate's garage with Lenin's cars, the main exhibit being a half-track Rolls-Royce. Closed for reconstruction since 30 July 2026: the Rolls-Royce has been taken to storage and is promised back by the end of 2026.

      • The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost was bought in England in the autumn of 1922, and at the Putilov Works the rear wheels were replaced with tracks and the front ones put on skis.
      • The track drive was built to the system of the engineer Adolphe Kégresse, and its rubber belts were made by the Treugolnik factory.
      • In 2022 the Polytechnic Museum's expert council recognised the vehicle as the world's only Silver Ghost with a Kégresse drive.
      • The 7.4-litre six-cylinder engine produced 75 hp; according to its papers the snow car reached 60 km/h.
      • Besides the Rolls-Royce, the garage also keeps other snow cars, on Ford and Packard chassis.
