      🏛 Korney Chukovsky House

      ул. Серафимовича, 3, Переделкино

The dacha where Chukovsky lived for more than thirty years and gathered children for his famous "bonfires". The house is closed for restoration — we look from outside.

      • Chukovsky lived in Peredelkino from the late 1930s until his death in 1969.
      • Every summer he held "bonfires" for children — festivals with poetry readings, where a pine cone was the entrance ticket.
      • After her father's death, Lydia Chukovskaya let visitors into the house for years; it officially became a museum in the 1990s.
      • The house is now under restoration, and it is promised to reopen no earlier than 2029.
