      • The church's design was developed by the architect Vladimir Glazov and the engineer S. M. Fominsky, and construction was led by the architect Sergey Ilyinsky.
      • The money for construction — 15,000 rubles — was given by the merchant Alexander Ivanov; he also chose the dedication because he lived near another church of Adrian and Natalia, in Meshchanskaya Sloboda.
      • When the First World War began, donations dried up, and for some time the church stood without a roof and dome.
      • On 27 July 1924 Patriarch Tikhon served the liturgy here.
      • The building is a low domed rotunda of the Byzantine type on a square base, with references to Pskov architecture.
      • In Soviet years Muscovites came here to be baptized: no documents were required and the baptisms were not reported to workplaces.
      • In 1936–1943 the church belonged to the Renovationists and then returned to the Patriarchal Church.
