      A national art gallery in a former cadet school: Nikolai Fechin, the Kazan avant-garde and Tatar artists of the 20th century.

      • The gallery opened in 2005, for Kazan's 1000th anniversary, in the building of a former cadet school.
      • Khazine is a branch of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan.
      • The permanent exhibition holds about two thousand works by artists from Kazan and Tatarstan.
      • Several rooms are devoted to Nikolai Fechin, including his 1914 Portrait of Varya Adoratskaya.
      • A separate gallery is dedicated to Haris Yakupov, and there are works by Baki Urmanche, the founder of Tatar painting.
