      A shady park in a hollow behind Kremlyovskaya Street: a pond with fountains and the Lovers' Arch, with a skating rink in winter.

      • The park is named after a lake that turned to marsh and was finally filled in by 1889.
      • In 1890 the All-Russian Scientific and Industrial Exhibition was held here, and the plantings made for it became the basis of the park.
      • A cast-iron fence was put up around the park as early as 1847.
      • In the western part there is a pond, where a skating rink with skate rental is flooded in winter.
      • The garden in the eastern part is entered through the Lovers' Arch.
