      The new sphere-shaped building of the Museum of the World Ocean: aquariums with sharks and rays, a planetarium and an observatory.

      • The sphere opened in August 2025 — it took more than 13 years to build.
      • The aquariums hold almost 1.5 million litres of water; by the end of 2025 they were home to more than 3,000 fish and other creatures.
      • Inside are a planetarium, an observatory, a library, classrooms and laboratories.
      • Staff stress that it is not an oceanarium but a museum — the nineteenth site of the Museum of the World Ocean.
